Touching Lives Foundation began in 2020 in Zambia with something very simple: a mother and daughter who wanted to help children with special needs.
Our journey began at the Home of Happiness in Lusaka, a home caring for children living with disabilities. We started by purchasing and donating food, toiletries, and cleaning supplies to support children and the homes caring for them.
But as we spent more time with these families, we began to understand that their needs extended far beyond basic necessities.
That realization became the foundation of Touching Lives Foundation.

About Us
Our Story
Creating Opportunities. Touching Lives.
What We Do

01 - Mobility Equipment
Our work is centered around vulnerable people, particularly children and individuals living with disabilities, while also creating opportunities for girls and young women.
We raise funds and collect wheelchairs and other mobility equipment for vulnerable people living with disabilities in Zambia.
Our goal is to help individuals gain greater mobility, independence, and participation in everyday life.
02 - Disability Support
We are working toward expanding our support beyond mobility equipment to address the broader needs of children and individuals living with complex disabilities.
Our long-term areas of support include specialized equipment, personal-care supplies, medical assistance, and developmental resources.

03 - Girls' Empowerment
Our annual Girls Vision Board seminars provide a platform for girls and young women to learn, build confidence, discuss important life issues, and think intentionally about their futures.
As the initiative grows, we hope to provide greater access to:
-
Educational sponsorships
-
Entrepreneurship support
-
Financial assistance for young women
-
Mentorship and development opportunities
04 - Child Safety & Awareness
We believe that education and awareness are important tools for protecting children.
Through our school outreach initiatives, we educate young girls about child sexual abuse, personal safety, recognizing abuse, reporting abuse, and seeking help.
Our goal is to help young people understand that their safety matters and that they have the right to speak up and seek support.

Our Goal
Our goal is to expand disability support beyond mobility equipment and reach children and individuals living with complex disabilities, including cerebral palsy, by providing access to specialized equipment, medical assistance, mobility support, personal-care supplies, developmental opportunities, and emotional and psychological support for both individuals and their families.
We want to help connect the right equipment and resources with people who genuinely need them, while building a stronger support system for families and caregivers. Donate today and help us turn this vision into a reality.
